Jaco Activities – 2015 Jungle Jam in Costa Rica
Posted by Jack Albritton on March 04, 2015
There are many Jaco activities going on this summer but the biggest is coming in just a few weeks as it is time for the 2015 Jungle Jam in Costa Rica. This is the fifth consecutive year for this event and the line-up promises to please the crowds once again for 4 days of music March 19-22 on the grounds of Hotel Doce Lunas, as well as a stage in Jaco Beach.
The line-up for this year’s event includes: Slightly Stoopid, Thievery Corporation, Steel Pulse, Morgan Heritage, Mykal Rose (of Black Uhuru), Papadosio, The Beautiful Girls, Jesse Royal, Dopapod, Twiddle, The Werks, Zach Deputy, Perro Bravo, Thicker Than Thieves, Paul Damon, Hayley Jane, and Michael O’Brien.
Things will get started in the afternoons on the beach stage in Jaco and finish up in the evenings at Doce Lunas where there will be two stages. Steel Pulse will be the headliner for Thursday night, March 19th. Thievery Corporation is the headliner for Friday night, March 20th. Slightly Stoopid is the main stage headliner for Saturday night, March 31st and Sunday night will finish things off with some Jamaican reggae featuring Mykal Rose of Black Uhuru, along with newcomer Jesse Royal and reggae family Morgan Heritage
U.S. jam bands are always a crowd favorite and will be strongly represented again this year by the likes of Papadosio, Dopapod, the Werks, Twiddle and Zach Zeputy. The Jungle Jam truly does have something for everyone and is an event that is loved by both Costa Ricans and foreigners alike. Tickets are $60 for a single day or $175 for a four day pass. Ticket outlets in Costa Rica include Hotel Doce Lunas, the Pizza Shop, Los Amigos and Jimmy T’s in the Jaco area and Seedless Costa Rica and Pachamama Indoor Farming Culture in the San Jose area.
Hotel space is limited in the area for this time period but there is still space available at the school. Surf, yoga, clear skies, warm water and good music. What more could you ask for in a vacation?
