Helping Third World Entrepreneurs

Today’s blog is not so much about the School of the World, but about an interesting organization that has been brought to my attention recently by a fellow surfer/ traveler/ entrepreneur, and friend, Johan Sirgurdson, founder of United Surf Camps.

It is not easy to start a business in any country, but financial challenges make even small dreams much more challenging in the third world. Every successful entrepreneur has had some help along the way, in one form or another. An organization named Kiva is helping the working poor in remote parts of the world launch their business ideas by connecting them with people that want to help.
